How to handle a coordinated review attack

A sudden burst of one-star reviews from people who were never customers is distressing, and it is also one of the most removable categories of content there is.

Do not respond in anger

Every public reply is permanent and will be read by future customers long after the attack is forgotten. One calm, factual response is enough.

Document immediately

Screenshot everything with timestamps before anything disappears. Note reviewer profiles, timing patterns, and any link to a dispute or competitor.

Report on the right grounds

Reviews from non-customers and coordinated attacks breach platform policy directly. This is a strong position, but the report has to be specific and evidenced.

Rebuild volume fast

While removals are pending, get legitimate reviews flowing. Volume dilutes the damage faster than anything else and it is entirely within your control.
