Negative articles, blog posts, and press

Legitimate journalism generally cannot be removed, and you should be sceptical of anyone who promises it can. Some content does come down: material that is defamatory, that breaches a platform’s terms, that infringes copyright, or that exposes private information. Everything else is handled by pushing it out of view.

The honest scope

What has a real pathway, and what does not. We would rather set this out before you pay.

What can usually be removed
  • Content a court has found defamatory
  • Material that breaches the host site’s own terms
  • Copyright-infringing reproductions of your material
  • Posts exposing private or personal data
  • Content on sites with a genuine removal or correction process
  • Outdated pages the publisher will willingly update
What cannot, and why we say so
  • Accurate reporting by legitimate news outlets
  • Opinion pieces you disagree with
  • Court records and lawful public documents
  • Anything requiring us to mislead a publisher

We would rather tell you this before you pay than after. Any firm promising to delete lawful, truthful content is either misleading you or planning something that puts you at risk.

How the work runs

01

Assess

We establish whether there is a real removal pathway, legal or editorial, and tell you plainly if there is not.

02

Pursue

Where a pathway exists we pursue it, working with counsel when the situation calls for it.

03

Outrank

Where it does not, we build and strengthen the properties that push the item off page one.

What it costs

How removal pricing works
From$599per successful removal

You pay when the content comes down. If we cannot remove it, you do not pay for the removal. That is how we have priced this work since 2018, and it is why we tell you upfront when something is not removable.

What moves the price up or down

  • Which platform hosts it, and how its process works
  • Whether there is a clear policy breach or a legal route
  • How many items are involved
  • How well documented the case already is
  • Whether the content has been syndicated elsewhere
  • How urgent it is

Suppression and ongoing monitoring are scoped separately, because that is continuing work rather than a single outcome.

Handled confidentially. We will not contact anyone else about your situation, and we will tell you honestly if we do not think we can help.

Received, and it is confidential.

We will review your situation and come back to you privately, usually within one business day and same day for anything urgent.

Common questions

Can you get a news article deleted?

Usually not, and we will say so upfront. Accurate reporting is protected. What works instead is suppression: building stronger, more authoritative results that move the article down and out of view.

What if the article is untrue?

Then there may be a legal pathway. We will assess it and, if it warrants counsel, we will say so rather than take your money for work that will not succeed.
